Souderton/Telford/Costa Rica

Cheryl Ensinger, a young lady a part of our community, just graduated with her nursing degree this summer. Check out what she wrote in a recent piece regarding her upcoming adventure:
According to the Keystone Opportunity Center in the Souderton/Telford area, approximately 469 Hispanic individuals and families were served in 2009 regarding assistance with case management, transportation, translation, interpretation and finances.

This number is astounding in the predominantly Caucasian and Mennonite-influenced area I grew up in. I’m realizing that not only are there people in need of grace, love, hope and help in various Spanish speaking countries of the world, they’re in our backyards as well. And the biggest barrier to loving and serving them is an inability to verbally communicate. I refuse to let that be a barrier.

To that end, the Lord had led and is providing a way for me to dream, and begin to learn Spanish fluently in Cost Rica for 3 months. The first two months will be with a group, Christian Immersion Spanish Academy (CISA) in the mountains of central Costa Rica. The last month will be with a group, CPI Spanish Immersion School, where I will be studying Medical Spanish in various locations around Costa Rica.”
Cheryl is looking for people who will partner with her in this adventure, both prayerfully and financially.
